Dennis Erb, Jr. Ready for USA
Nationals After Lucrative Week in Land of Lincoln
(July
30, 2026) The Dennis Erb Racing team ventured
to both Lincoln Speedway in Lincoln, Illinois and Fairbury Speedway
in Fairbury, Illinois from July 21-25. The lucrative week of
racing in the Land of Lincoln kicked off with a pair of $20,000
to win FloRacing Night in America Series contests. At Lincoln
Speedway on Tuesday, Dennis Erb, Jr. advanced past a trio of
competitors to place tenth in the final rundown of the 50-lap
feature. On Wednesday at FALS in a similar program, Dennis placed
second in his loaded heat race, but a flat right rear tire during
the 50-lapper dropped the Carpentersville, Illinois ace out
of the top ten and relegated him to a twentieth place showing.

The action at Fairbury then heated back up over the weekend
with the 36th edition of the 'Prairie Dirt Classic,' which was
once again sanctioned by the World of Outlaws Late Model Series.
In Friday's preliminary program, Dennis turned the twelfth quickest
lap in Group A during qualifying prior to advancing three spots
during his 25-lap Prairie Dirt Showdown en route to a strong
third place effort behind only $5,000 winner Sam Seawright and
runner-up Chris Simpson. With a hefty $50,000 top prize up for
grabs in Saturday's PDC, Dennis started the 100-lapper from
the inside of the sixth row and ultimately placed fourteenth
at the unfurling of the checkered flag. Full results from both
Illinois venues can be found online at www.floseries.com
and www.woolms.com.
Next up for the #28 team will be a trip north to the renowned
Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin from July 30-August
1. Later tonight, the 39th Annual ‘USA Nationals’
gets underway with a $10,000 to win World of Outlaws Late Model
Series shootout. Time trials, heat races, and a dash will then
take place on Friday evening at Cedar Lake prior to Saturday’s
consolation races and 100-lap crown jewel headliner, which boasts
a hefty $100,000 first place prize. Dennis comes into the weekend
eighth in the latest version of the national series point standings.
